Kyria Network is for every female leader and every person who believes in championing the equality of women and men in leadership. I'm cheering Kyria on as it seeks to champion, empower and release women into their God-given calling.
Dr Claire Rush, Vice-President of Girls' Brigade International and CEO of YWCA Ireland
I’m grateful for the valuable good work, encouragement and fun that Kyria provides as it champions women in leadership.
Becky Harcourt, National Leadership Team, NEW WINE, Church Leader All Saints Woodford Wells
I have been blessed by Kyria's commitment to championing women leaders for many years and I'm looking forward to an exciting future as they press into a more inclusive vision for all women (including women of colour) with renewed vigour and passion.
Rev Dr Kate Coleman, Founder and Co-Director of Next Leadership
The people of God are found in all areas of professional and social life. Our distinctive contribution, as diverse women, is what Kyria Network continues to affirm across the Church. As we journey together the need to discern, re-envision the vocation of our gifts to bless local communities and the City, and desire to deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ will increasingly become important.
Rev Dr Sharon Prentis, Intercultural Mission Enabler & Dean of Black & Minority Ethnic Affairs, Church of England Kyria Council of Reference
I’m so grateful for Kyria. It provides a crucial space for women to explore, grow and learn to lead. A safe but challenging space, a sisterhood to cheer you on.
Bekah Legg, Director of Restored UK, Kyria Council of Reference
I strongly commend the work of the Kyria Network and count it an honour to serve the movement. The Kyria ethos is built upon the strong conviction that God calls women to any area of leadership and service that God chooses. They do this with a deep commitment to Scripture and from a posture of humility and confidence. The network is a powerful prophetic voice into the Church and wider society that God is the One Who determines the context of ministry and service for the Kingdom of God. In a culture driven by a rights-based agenda, where so often those who shout the loudest are those who are heard, Kyria does not shout at all. It simply seeks to celebrate the anointing and the calling that God has for women by telling the stories of women in leadership, celebrating women in leadership and acknowledging the remarkable contribution that women in leadership make to our churches, our society and our culture. I count it a privilege to stand with Kyria and all that it seeks to advocate for – a Church and a world where women are able to fulfil whatever call God has for them without fear or prejudice.
Malcolm Duncan, Lead Pastor Dundonald Elim Church, Chair Elim's Ethics and Public Theology Task Force, Theologian-in-Residence for Spring Harvest and Essential Christian, Kyria Council of Reference
I was privileged to be part of the Kyria leadership team when it first began. The Kyria team and network encouraged me to be who God had called me to be and to lead and be a woman of influence within the area God had called me to. I am so grateful for the amazing women who love and serve in making Kyria a network of strong women of God.
Rev Tandy Ruoff, Prison Chaplain
I've known Kyria to be a gathering of women who are committed and enthusiastic disciples of Jesus. The centre of Kyria Network is Jesus Christ and because of that the values of Kyria are more than political or activist. Like the women in scripture, Kyria Network models Lydia's enterprise and all of Mary's love. Kyria is about women who own their purpose in God's Kingdom in the power of the Holy Spirit and who live out the life of Christ in community and society. Kyria's vision offers Christian women everywhere access to encouragement and equipping for women keen to submit to God’s vision for his church and their lives.
Rev Brian R More, Newton Mearns Baptist Church
I love serving the Scottish team of Kyria and getting to serve alongside phenomenal women is a total honour.
Bridget Sunderland, Pastor, Village Church Aberdeen, Director at Diamonds Scotland
I love that Kyria pays attention to women in leadership beyond the church. I have appreciated the wisdom and encouragement from Kyria in my work context.
Diane McWilliam, Freelance community development practitioner working as a Church Advisor for Cinnamon Network, and Practice Tutor for CLD students at the University of Glasgow
The Kyria Network draws together women leaders from all spheres of society and champions them to lead as God has created them to do. I particularly love that it values creativity and encourages a deeper connection with God through worship and the arts.
Fiona Crow, Worship Leader/Singer-Songwriter
I have worked in the NHS for over 30 years and am a lecturer in Nursing. I have dealt with many incidences of inequality because I am a women. The worse place that I have had to shout to get my voice heard has been church. So sad as Jesus was a transformational leader and championed the role of women. We need organisations like Kyria.
Debbie Duncan, Lecturer Nursing Queens University, ANP and Respiratory Nurse, Church leader and author.
It is wonderful to see the way the Kyria network is growing and developing. Providing support for Christian women in diverse areas of leadership is so important. The work of Kyria helps us to understand God's love for us more deeply and to appreciate his call on our lives as leaders more confidently. I fully support the way Kyria helps us dig into the Bible together, pray and worship God together. As Jesus drew humble, godly women around him, so our world today needs women of the same character to be active in following Jesus and changing the world around them in the power of his Spirit.
Elaine Duncan, Chief Executive, Scottish Bible Society
Working as a female Christian judge can be a lonely and difficult place. Being a part of Kyria has provided me with a safe place to be with other women leaders from different walks of life who encourage, uplift and most importantly, pray for me in my sphere of work. How encouraging it is to know that a team of amazing women have my back covered as I go into the courtroom and seek to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with my God.
Equally, Kyria has given me valuable opportunities to share my experiences of God’s provision as I seek to champion Him in my workplace. Giving encouragement and support to other women is such a powerful tool as we seek to raise up and equip women in their leadership journeys. The mutual support, encouragement, powerful teaching and worship that we receive being part of Kyria has been so empowering and an invaluable part of my leadership development.
Sheriff Liz McFarlane, National Kyria Prayer Leader
Since my discovery of the work of Kyria I have felt its impacts far and wide in my ministry, especially in increasing confidence in my role as a pastor.
The team at Kyria, through their teaching and events, support, empower and facilitate connection and community, providing encouragement to all women as they seek to live out the plans and purposes God has given them.
Knowing that Kyria champions and models biblical leadership of women in all spheres of influence, not just within the church, is also hugely important to me, especially for young female leaders who are able to look to Kyria for resource and relationship as they navigate their leadership roles.
