Kyria Australia Vision
Kyria Australia exists to strengthen and empower Christian women in any space or place across the leadership continuum. We are cheer leaders for one another, believing that as God calls us, He enables us.
About Kyria Australia
Early Days
Kyria Australia are the new kids on the block and we are really encouraged by the way God is using us to reach women leaders across Newcastle currently, but as time goes on, we are expecting to extend into other regions. The size of Australia could make this a daunting task, yet we believe that God is using Kyria to reach out and make a difference for women leaders across the nation.
Kyria Forum
We currently hold two Kyria Forums each year, in March and August. These are morning sessions with two speakers and different kinds of workshops along with morning tea and time to connect with other leaders. In March our theme was Navigating Change, and in August we will be focusing on Speaking Up and Speaking Out.
Think Again
In addition, we will be hosting bimonthly evening events with cheese and wine as we view the Think Again series, discussing our perspectives on the subjects highlighted. We are looking forward to seeing how this develops, with the understanding that the pressure for numbers is not as fierce for an event like this as it is for a conference or forum.
Future Thinking
We hope to hold a retreat in 2027 for leaders. Currently we are in the early stages of what this would look like but there seems to be a good amount of interest as we build momentum.

Stories from Australia
I was invited to attended my first Kyria gathering a couple of years ago. This baby step toward re-entering a space filled with like-hearted women has been really significant for me. I have loved deepening-relationships with inspiring women across our region, forming new connections and stepping out again to use my voice.
