About Kyria Northern Ireland

Kyria Northern Ireland has the following vision:

“We will continue to cultivate a diverse and collaborative community of women who lead with confidence across and for the nation.”

With whom we will commit to:

  • Create spaces of safety and solidarity
  • Champion our prophetic voice
  • Communicate robust theological foundations
  • Connect individuals, groups and movements
  • Commission and invest our shared leadership experience and wisdom

This vision was shaped by significant research conducted in 2024, which highlighted the need for specific forums, topics, and cultural practices.

Through shared stories and meaningful conversations, we’ve witnessed the power of cultivating strong, connected communities of women leaders, spaces of support and mutual encouragement across Ireland.

We encourage engagement with wider Kyria resources for women to engage and participate in.

We welcome women leaders from the South of Ireland at any of our events!

Northern Ireland Conference

Our once-a-year leadership conference provides a focused, purposeful space to embody this vision in action. By gathering women from across Ireland who are diverse in leadership backgrounds and spheres of influence, the conference becomes a place of safety and solidarity where stories, challenges and insights can be shared openly.

Together, participants can sharpen and champion their prophetic voice, explore strong theological foundations, and form meaningful connections that link individuals, groups and movements across the nation. Through teaching, collaboration and shared experience, the event also creates opportunities to commission and invest in one another’s leadership, strengthening a confident, collaborative community of women who lead for Northern Ireland.

LeaderHER Network

A twice-yearly gathering for women leaders who oversee initiatives for women and girls, providing space for connection, networking, and peer support.

Senior Leader Retreats

The senior women leaders retreat offers established leaders a gentle, unhurried environment to slow down, connect with God, and build relationships with other Christian senior women across diverse leadership spheres

Stories from Northern Ireland

The Kyria Senior Leaders Retreat was a good investment as we approached the end of the academic year. I was expectant to reconnect with others and to connect with God—and by the time I left, I had undoubtedly heard from Him. Our facilitator for the day encouraged us to search for the ancient path of partnership with the Holy Spirit so that we could find rest for our souls, guiding us through Scripture with care, affirmation and deep respect for one another's contributions. We were individually hearing from God while collectively enjoying the opportunity to sit and rest in the presence of Jesus. My time at the Kyria retreat reminded me to examine my life through the eyes of Jesus. I left feeling encouraged in my calling and in my walk with the Lord. Thank you to the Kyria NI team for creating such a welcoming space where I could hear from God, find fresh encouragement, and experience true soul rest.

Catherine Hillcox

There is an epidemic of under-confidence among Christian women in Northern Ireland. The work of Kyria NI in empowering and mobilising women who love Jesus from all walks of life and corners of the country is vital to continue God’s kingdom mission. Creating spaces for women to share in not only fellowship but genuine spiritual and leadership development calls out of them a thirst for more - more opportunities to lead, more women to commission, more Jesus to discover.

Iona Holt

Kyria is an incredible network of inspiring women. It is always powerful when women gather together to encourage, champion and empower each other to be exactly who God has created them to be. Kyria is a place that helps women to walk more confidently and fully in the calling God has on their lives. I don’t believe any one of us are meant to do it alone and what a privilege it is to walk along other leaders in all different spheres of influence who are also seeking to follow Jesus with their whole lives.
