Canon Theologian, The Anglican Church of Bermuda

Before relocating to be Canon Theologian for the Anglican Church of Bermuda, the Revd. Dr Sharon Prentis was the Deputy Director of the Racial Justice Unit (RJU) at the Church of England. An educator and public speaker, Sharon has degrees in Sociology, Anthropology, and Theology and has worked in various church, community, health, and education roles. She has served on several national boards and trusts and is an avid supporter of churches being involved in mission, advocating for social justice, and accessible theology.

As an author, Sharon has written numerous book chapters and articles on racial justice, the impact of racial intolerance, the need for corporate lament, and peace and reconciliation. She edited the book Every Tribe: Stories of Diverse Saints Serving a Diverse World which shares stories of diverse saints and holy people from around the world, and recently co-authored Heroes of Hope: 22 inspiring stories of Christians from around the world a version for young people aged 7-12.
